BEGIN:VCALENDAR PRODID;X-RICAL-TZSOURCE=TZINFO:-//com.denhaven2/NONSGML ri_cal gem//EN CALSCALE:GREGORIAN VERSION:2.0 BEGIN:VEVENT DESCRIPTION:Bring the World Home &ndash\; Host an Up with People Cast Mem ber \;\nFamilies in Concord will have the unique opportunity to brin g a bit of the world into their own homes between September 10-17\, when an international cast of Up with People arrives to Concord\, a stop on their 2012 world tour.\nHost families are being sought to keep one or mo re students from Cast B 2012\, the 100-member Up with People cast\, whi ch represents 20 countries. \;\nThe opportunity to stay with local families during their stay in each community is a centerpiece of Up wit h People&rsquo\;s 22-week program. \; The giving goes both ways\; w hile families share their traditions and local attractions\, the cast m embers also share their experiences and cultures. \;\nLocal host fa milies are asked to provide a bed\, local transportation at the beginnin g and end of each day\, as well as breakfast and most dinners. \; W hile gone during the day\, participating in regional learning\, communi ty service and show preparation\, most evenings cast members will be ho me with the family to participate in their activities and interests.&nb sp\;\nIn addition to many wonderful experiences with their new &ldquo\;s on&rdquo\; or &ldquo\;daughter\,&rdquo\; each host family will receive t wo complimentary tickets to the Up with People&rsquo\;s newest productio n Voices\, which is themed around the power and the irony of communicat ion in today&rsquo\;s global climate. The aim is to leave the audience feeling empowered to connect\, communicate and create positive change i n their communities\; to '...rise above the noises\, and listen to the voices of the world.' The show will be held at the Concord Carlisle Reg ional High School on Friday\, September 14th\, at 7:30pm\; and on Sunday \, September 16th\, at 2:00pm and 6:00pm.
