5 Things You Need To Know Today April 11

First-ever middle school Geography Bee tonight, McCarthy Elementary's 5th grade talent show, Grammy award-winning musician at Amazing Things, Callahan Luncheon and hazardous waste collection day all featured in today's column.

1. The Framingham Library's Teen Advisory Board for the Homework Center is holding Framingham's first-ever town-wide Middle School Geography Bee.

Each of town's middle schools are sending teams to the competition Students will be asked a variety of questions spanning the Globe.
Refreshments from around the world will be served. The event starts at 7 in the Costin room at the main Framingham Library.

2. Grammy Award winner Charles Neville of the legendary Neville Brothers, working with Jeff Pitchell and Texas Flood will perform tonight at Amazing Things Arts Center in downtown Framingham.

Music starts at 8. Tickets still available $30, $29 for students and seniors, $27 for members and $15 for children age 12 and under.

3. The comedy and magic of Eddie Raymond will be featured at the luncheon at the Callahan Senior Center today at noon. Pre-registration is suggested for the free luncheon, sponsored by the Heritage at Framingham.

4. Fifth grade students at McCarthy Elementary School will hold a talent show tonight at Fuller Middle School at 6:30 . Tickets are $6 at the door.

5. Mark Your Calendar: Framingham's Department of Sanitation will host a household hazardous waste collection at the McCarthy Elementary School tomorrow, April 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The school is located on Flagg Drive.
