5 Things You Need To Know Today: April 1

Free abs & booty class, annual Lions Porketta Feast and 9 a.m. Mass at St. Bridget Church to honor fallen Boston firefighters featured in today's column.

1. No joke, today, April Fools' Day, is election day in Framingham.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Please take a few minutes out of your day and vote.

2. St. Bridget's Church in Framingham will hold a memorial Mass today at 9 a.m., in honor of the two Boston firefighters who died last week battling a 9-alarm fire in Boston. The public is encouraged to attend

The Boston Firefighters Credit Union established a fund for the families of Lt. Ed Walsh and Firefighter Mike Kennedy. For more details, click here.

3. There is a free abs and bootlicious class at Diosa Dance Yoga Health at 6 tonight. 

This intensive will focus on the two areas women most want to work on - the core and backside - by combining standing and floor exercises that will isolate your abs, core, glutes, and more. Pulling from yoga strength poses, pilates, and calisthenics, the class will sculpt, strengthen and tone your body right where you most want it sculpted. Attendees will feel this workout immediately.
