5 Things You Need To Know Today: Feb. 25

Framingham's first Vietnamese restaurant will open this week and Selectmen to get update on bridge and road construction projects tonight.

1. The wait has been long enough but come Saturday, Framingham's first Vietnamese restaurant will open downtown. Pho Dakao will hold a grand opening on Saturday at 11 a.m. The restaurant will open at 101 Concord St., in the location formerlly occupied by Limey's Pub. This is the second location for the family-owned restaurant.

 Patch first reported about the restaurant's intent to open in downtown Framingham in October 2013.

To celebrate the grand opening, Pho Dakao will offer 20 percent off it food menu from March 1-7. If you go tell them, you heard about it on Framingham Patch. 

2.  Selectmen are scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Memorial Building. On the agenda is presentation by Foodie Cafe, the Framingham Police on Smart 911, a vote to tax on tax liens and update on bridge and construction projects in Framingham.

3. The Framingham High girls ice hockey team will host Billerica High this afternoon at 3:45 p.m. at Loring Arena in Framingham, as part of  the MIAA Division 1 playoffs.

 Framingham High finished the regular season at 7-4-7 and is ranked #16 in the state tourney. The winner will play #1-seeded Acton-Boxborough.

4. The Callahan Senior Center is will hold a clinic on electronic devices from 3 to 4 p.m.

5. The Christa McAuliffe Regional Public Charter School Board of Trustees will meet tonight at 6 at the school, 25 Clinton St. Click here for the agenda.
