If you like to perform, come sing and/or play an original or cover tune at this event exclusively for teens. We’re not looking for the next American Idol, just teens who want to express themselves musically in a relaxed and welcoming environment, said librarian Marcy Maiorana.  Refreshments will be served.

2. Nine of the last 11 years, the Framingham High School Drama Company has made it to the finals of the Massachusetts Drama Festival. This year, the Framingham High School Drama Company will perform The Diviners, a 1930's Depression Era play written by Jim Leonard Jr., as its entry in the 2014 Massachusetts Drama Festival. Framingham High will travel to Tewksbury High School tomorrow, March 1 in the preliminary round of the Massachusetts Drama Festival. Framingham High will take the stage at 9 a.m.

There is a benefit performance of the 40-minute play tonight, Feb. 28 at 7 at Framingham High. Tickets are $10 and available online at www.showtix4u.com or at the door.

3. Martinis for Melanoma event tonight at the Framingham Country Club from 7 to 9. Join Jenifer Feaster, Laura Palmer, Kara Fink, Leslie Idzal and Amy Feinerman for a night out to support Feaster's 2014 Boston Marathon run for the Melanoma Foundation of New England.

Have a cocktail and enjoy some complimentary yummies while perusing the marketplace of fabulous offerings, including Stella & Dot and Ava Anderson Non-Toxics. Get a mini-massage and learn about how acupuncture and Reiki can improve your well-being. No cover charge or tickets required - just plenty of opportunities to make donations, win raffle prizes, do some shopping, and have fun. Donations and some purchases available by credit card - but bar, raffles and other fun will be cash only.
If you can not attend Martinis for Melanoma, visit http://www.crowdrise.com/mfneboston2014/fundraiser/jeniferfeaster to make a donation.
