5 Things You Need To Know Today: Friday, June 13th

Schoolhouse Rock at Wilson Elementary, Chillset will rock out Pepperoncini on its final night, 2nd Annual Pink Ball in Saxonville and today is not only Friday the 13th but a full moon!

1. Framingham State Representatives Tom Sannicandro and Chris Walsh, and Senator Karen Spilka will host a joint office hour today from 10 to 11 a.m. at 9 Vernon St. in Framingham. The representatives are encouraging residents to come discuss with them directly any questions or concerns they might have concerning current legislation or personal issues. Drop-ins are welcome.

2. MetroWest Boot Camp is anticipating 200 people for its 2nd Annual Pink Ball tonight at 7 at 2 Watson Place in Saxonville.

Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased at http://www.metrowestbootcamponline.com/pink-ball-tickets/ and at the door. Ticket includes 2 drinks (beer & wine) from the cash bar, food from local restaurants, DJ, silent auction, photo booth and a fun night of dancing.

3. Lolly, Lolly, Get You Adverbs Here ... well, tonight you'll find adverbs, verbs, nouns and more at Wilson Elementary School, as the students present a performance of Schoolhouse Rock. The show follows Tom, a nervous teacher, before his first day of classes. Characters show him how he can win his students over with imagination and music. 

Tickets will be sold at the door for $5. Curtain rises at 7 p.m.

4. Tonight is last call for Pepperoncini's Pizzeria and Grill on Concord Street in Framingham. The popular hangout is being forced to close so a CVS can be constructed in its place. 

Owner Vince Loscerbo said he is open to relocating somewhere else in Framingham, but nothing has been announced. Until then, you can visit the location in Milford and stop by today to say goodbye.

Chillset will rock out Pepperoncini's on its final night - Friday the 13th. The owners, to thank loyal customers is "going retro with some prices." Until closing there are "$5.99 large cheese pizzas (dine-in only). All domestic draft & bottles $3/pitchers $9, All premium draft & bottles $4/pitchers $12, All well drinks $5, All premium drinks $6."

5. Besides today being Friday the 13th, it is also a full moon. This is a rare event. The next time there will be a full moon on a Friday the 13th is in the year 2049.
