5 Things You Need To Know Today: June 4

Republican candidate for Massachusetts Lt. Governor Karyn Polito campaigned in downtown Framingham and the Little Tripoli section of Framingham and weather permitting the Flyers Softball team will take on Boston Latin in MIAA Tournament.

1. Weather permitting (it was raining at 1 a.m.), the Framingham High girls softball team will host Boston Latin in an MIAA Division 1 Quarterfinal Torunament game at Framingham High School at 4 p.m. Go Flyers!

Boston Latin upset #1 seeded Masconomet Regional over the weekend and Flyers defeated the Tornadoes of Malden 3-0 on Saturday to advance to the quarterfinals.

The winner, if the game is played today, is scheduled to play in the semifinals on Friday night. 

2. The VERVE - Crowne Plaza Natick will join forces with CHANEL Beauté, Neiman Marcus and the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Fun Federation, for a night of luxury and pampering at 5:30. Admittance is free, upon pre-registration, but some aspects of the event have a fee.

Ladies will sip and swirl a “Coco CHANEL” specialty cocktail and mingle with others before heading off to their Express Makeup consultation, a one-on-one demonstration with expert CHANEL Beauté Consultants.

​Appointments must be booked in advance for a fee of $25, which also serves as a credit for Chanel beauty products and fragrances.​ ​

The event is cash bar and new summer-inspired food items from The VERVE’s signature restaurant, Pantry may be purchased to nosh on with your friends.​

3. Republican candidate for Massachusetts Lt. Governor Karyn Polito campaigned in downtown Framingham and the Little Tripoli section of Framingham on Tuesday, June 3. Her final stop of the day was at Framingham Baking Company, an almost 100 year old business. She tried the famous pizza and picked up some for campaign workers and volunteers, too.

4. Framingham High School music banquet takes place tonight at 7.

5. Fan-favorite, comedy-magic entertainer, MALIK will headline tonight's Amazing Comedy Mique Show at the Amazing Things Arts Center at 8. Framingham's Dave Hornfischer will host the evening of PG-14 comedy, music, and magic.
