5 Things You Need To Know Today: March 17

Framingham High wrestling, Framingham High Drama Company, spring sports season, McAuliffe World Language Concert and St. Patrick's Day featured in today's' column.

1. Happy St. Patrick Day! If you are looking for a corned beef and cabbage dinner, check out my 5 picks of where to go in Framingham.

2. The Callahan Senior Center will hold a St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon with entertainment at noon. Admission $10.

3. Although the weather may not show it, spring sports begin today at Framingham High.

One final note on the Flyers' winter sports season - Congrats to the Framingham High wrestling team, who won the Bay State Conference with an undefeated record (11-0) and finished the season at 24-3.

​4. For the 10th time in 12 years, the Framingham High School Drama Company qualified for the finals of the state drama festival. And six Framingham High students earned individual honors. Click here to see who was singled out for achievement.

5. ​In Case You Missed It:  Sixth grade French and Spanish scholars from the Christa McAuliffe Regional Charter Public School performed a world language concert last ​week. Some of the students sung a Justin Timberlake song in Spanish. All of the students performed at least one song in Spanish or French and the concert ended with an English rendition of We Are the World.
