5 Things You Need To Know Today: May 16

Featured in today's column final day of school for the Framingham High class of 2014, Keefe Technical and Marian High school proms, Town Meeting approved non-binding resolution on divesting from fossil fuels and 13th Annual Framingham House Tour.

1. Last night was the prom for Marian High students and tonight is the prom for Keefe Technical School students.

2. Today is the final day of school at Framingham High for he Class of 2014. The students will graduate on June 1.

​3​.  Framingham Town Meeting ​members made their way through article 26 Thursday night. Town Meeting members passed a non-binding resolution, submitted by Framingham resident Ken Weiss, to divest from fossil fuels within the next five years. IF you missed last night's session, read the Framingham Patch live blog here.

Night 10 of Town Meeting is scheduled to ​begin Tuesday, May 20​ at 7:30 in Nevins Hall inside the Memorial Building or when a quorum is reached. ​ ​Town Meeting will ​begin discussion on Article 27 of a  40+ article warrant.

4. Today is the deadline to submit a grant application to Impact Framingham. For additional information click here.

5. In case you missed it: The 13th Annual Framingham History Center's House Tour includes a craftsman's masterpiece complete with an Irish pub, a completely transformed Campanelli ranch, a stately Colonial with breathtaking waterfront views and the former J.F. Bowditch Millwood farmhouse.

The self tour of the ​seven ​homes is from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 18. There will be Framingham History Center volunteers at each of the homes, too. Tickets are still available. ​Click here for more information and how to order tickets.
