5 Things You Need To Know Today: May 29

There will be a performance of Jack & Annie's Magic Treehouse at 6 tonight, May 29 at Barnes & Noble booksellers in Shoppers World in Framingham.


1. The Framingham High girls softball team with a record of 15-5, is seeded #9 in the MIAA Division 1 Tournament and will host Waltham, seeded #24, and with a record of 9-11, for a game today at 4 p.m.

2. The Framingham High boys lacrosse team is seeded #11 in the MIAA Division 1 Sorth tournament. With a record of 12-6, the Flyers will travel to Dorchester to play Boston College High, with a record of 10-8, today, May 29 at 5 p.m.

3. The Lutheran Church of Framingham will hold the annual Ascension Day worship service tonight at 6:30.

The service is co-hosted by St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and Lutheran Church of Framingham in honor of Ascension Day. The Rev. Julie Carson will preach and the Rev. Leslie Scanlon will preside. Light refreshments will be served following the service.

4. There will be a performance of Jack & Annie's Magic Treehouse at 6 tonight, May 29 at Barnes & Noble booksellers in Shoppers World in Framingham.

Today is also McAuliffe Regional Charter Public School day at the bookseller. Mention the charter school at the register and a percentage of sales will go to the Framingham-based middle school. A coupon to print out is also attached.

5. Tonight is the spring sports letter night at Framingham High at 6 p.m. And at 7 p.m.,  at the high school is the senior Athletics Awards.
