Concord Street Construction Update, Disasters, Square Dance and Marijuana Hearing

The public is invited to learn how to square dance tonight at First Parish Church.

1​.​ The Framingham Planning Board continues it public hearing on a medial marijuana overlay district by-law for Framingham tonight at the Memorial Building. 

​"There is continued refinement of the proposed overlay district boundaries, including a decision to eliminate Tech Park and 9-90 Corporate Center from the cultivation district," said Framingham Town Manager Bob Halpin.​

2. Framingham Department of Public Works said ​it ​anticipates "Concord Street will reopen to all traffic and will return to its normal traffic pattern between School Street and Danforth Street ​today, Sept . 26 For additional information, click here.  
3. Framingham High girls volleyball team will host Newton North at 5 p.m. and the Framingham High girls soccer team will match up again Newton North at 3:45 p.m. today.

4. Learn about Natural and Social Disasters tonight at the main Framingham Library. Framingham State University Associate Professor of geography Elaine Hartwick  ​will discuss the interconnection between a natural disaster and the economic, political and social structure of a society, focusing on earthquakes in New Zealand and Haiti​, as part of the Lifelong Learning Lecture Series.

5. The public is invited to learn how to square dance tonight at First Parish Church, 24 Vernon St from, 7:30 to 9:30. Singles and couples welcome. Square dancer of all ages, including those who have never danced are welcome. For additional information, visit www.SQ-DANCE.com
