Godspell, Lisa Marie Presley, Coffeehouse Performances Friday Night

State Rep. Thomas Conroy, who represents Saxonville, is running for Massachusetts Treasurer.

1. It's opening night for Godspell at Framingham High.

Directed by Donna Wresinski, the musical based on the Gospel According to St Matthew, tells the story of the last seven days of Christ's life. Tonight's cast features staff from Framingham High, not just the students, as part of a fundraiser to help students go to London in the spring. Cast includes  Laura Beck, Chris Brindley, Aaron Coleman, Joanne Connolly, Ali Courchesne, Aimee Delaporta, Peter Eliot, Kate Giffune, Jan Graham, Stephanie Henry, Carra Herron, Mark Morabito, Chris Ocampo, Carol Virdinlia and  some students of the Framingham H.S. Drama Company. Curtain rises at 7:30. Tickets are available online www.showtix4u.com. Tickers are $12 online and $15 at the door. The final performance is Saturday night at 7:30.

2. This is the last weekend Framingham Girl Scouts are selling cookies. Scouts are taking advanced orders and cookies will be delivered in early February.
If you must have cookies today, there is a booth sale at Sweet Spot Frozen Yogurt by Framingham Troop 72106 tonight at 6. And a second booth sale at Sweet Spot Frozen Yogurt Saturday by Framingham Troop 72082 from 1 to 4 p.m.

3. Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis, will perform a concert at the Violet Jam at The Verve in Natick tonight at 9. Tickets are still available. Doors open at 7. Music starts at 9.

4. Kim Jennings and Dan Cloutier will perform at the UnCommon Coffeehouse at First Parish in Framingham tonight at 8. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door. Tickets are 410 for seniors and students under 21. Tickets available at Centre Music House or throughUncommoncoffeehouse.org

5. In Case You Missed It:  State Rep. Thomas Conroy, who represents Saxonville, is running for Massachusetts Treasurer. He announced Thursday morning. 

Framingham Town Meeting member Brian LeFort announced later Thursday, that he would run for Conroy's seat, which includes Precinct 3 in Framingham, parts of Marlborough and Wayland and Sudbury. 

LeFort is a legislative aide to State Rep. Chris Walsh, one of the three representatives, who serve Framingham.
