Local Author Signs Copies of Her First Book

Here are five things you need to know for Wednesday, September 4.

1. A sunny day is on tap for Wednesday. High temperatures will be near 81 degrees with a west wind 5 to 10 mph.

2. Framingham resident and Harvard sociologist Hilary Levey Friedman signed copies of her new book “Playing to Win: Raising Children in a Competitive Culture,” at Barnes & Noble last night. 

3. Reminder, with the Jewish holidays on Thursday and Friday, today is the last day of school for the week for Framingham Public School students.

4. Eat at UNO’s, 70 Worcester Road tonight and help the American Heart Association (This includes takeout orders, as well). UNO will donate up to 20 percent of your check to the American Heart Association.
