2. Meet artist Virginia Fitzgerald at Fountain Street Fine Art gallery tonight at 5:30.  Fitzgerald's "breaking open" exhibit with Anne Gilson alludes to many experiences – discovery, violation, achievement. The exhibit is somewhat autobiographical in nature, according to Fitzgerald. “‘breaking open’ comes at a time in my life of displacement and transition, and tremendous growth; much of the work in this show is part of that process, the breaking open of the new me.” Click here to watch a video of the artist talking about one of her pieces.

3. WAAF, with Lyndon Byers, will be at The Paper Store at Shoppers World in Framingham from noon to 2 p.m. with the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. Meet WAAF's LB and help benefit a great cause!

The Paper Store and Alex and Ani will be donating 10 percent of all Alex and Ani sales to the Joe Andruzzi Foundation for the day. The Joe Andruzzi Foundation is committed to providing help, hope, and a reason to smile for cancer patients and families by contributing financial and emotional support when it is needed most.

4. Framingham State University senior midfielder Kayla Austin was named the 2013 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Year and the University's head coach Tucker Reynolds, in his 9th year, was selected the MASCAC Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year. Read more by clicking here.

5. In Case You Missed It: Tickets are on sale for the Curtis Family Thanksgiving Raffle. This year, organizers have opted not for a dinner/dance fundraiser but a raffle to raise fund to help defray the cost of hosting the annual  Thanksgiving Day event, that feeds almost 2,000 individuals. Tickets are $10 each. Drawing will be held on Thursday, Nov. 14. To find where to purchase raffle tickets click here.
