Nobscot Eatery Closes, New England Hydroponics Store Opens and Youth Block Party

1​.​ Framingham Public Schools are closed today. The McAuliffe Regional Charter Public School is Closed, but St. Bridget School is open. 

2. Royal Pizza in the Nobscot Plaza has closed.

3. ​New England Hydroponics will hold a grand opening party ​tomorrow, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. ​Stop by and learn about hydroponics and indoor gardening​. There will be raffles, food & refreshments​. From 2 to 4 p.m., radio station WBOS 92.9 will on site giving away free concert tickets​.

New England Hydroponics is located in Trolley Square, off Route 9 West. The store is open now, if you would like to stop by today.

4. Framingham High girls swim team host Needham tonight at 7 at Keefe Technical's pool.

​5. Middle School and High School students in Framingham are invited to the 6th Annual Activate Youth Block Party tonight from 6:30 to 9:30 at 280 Pleasant St. in Ashland. The event is free.

This year there will be a ‘mobile video game truck’ with seven wide-screen high-definition TVs, stadium seating, and the newest games for Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.” The event also features a 65-foot obstacle course, free foot and drink (hotdogs, burgers, cotton candy, frozen treats). There will also be prizes, including Celtics Tickets, iPods, gift cards to Dunkin' Donuts, Game Stop, movie tickets, sports gear etc.
