Nutcracker Opening Night, Mighty Makers Mob, and Lost Sapphire and Diamond Wedding Band

Tonight is opening night for Mass Ballet's 2013 Nutcracker. There are six performance through Sunday at Framingham High School.

1. It's opening night for Mass Ballet's 2013 Nutcracker. There are 6 shows at Framingham High School starting tonight at 7.

Other performances are Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 1 and 7 p.m. and Sunday ay 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets range from $10 to $25 and are available at http://www.massballet.com/ 

2. Between 5 and 7 tonight, have a cup of frozen yogurt at Sweet Spot and a portion of the proceeds with benefit Fuller Middle School.

3. On Black Friday, a woman lost her sapphire and diamond wedding band between Nordstrom Rack and T J Maxx in Shoppers World in Framingham.

4. Children are invited to visit the library between 3 and 4 p.m. for a Mighty Makers Mob workshop. Explore your creativity and make movies, computer programs, animations, blog posts, video book reviews, and even old-fashioned crafts such as puppets, papier mache or masks.  

The Mighty Makers Mob of Framingham Public Library seeks to encourage creativity, ingenuity, and exploration in children. We will meet once a month to work on projects both lo-tech and hi-tech.


5. In Case You Missed It:  Five non-profit companies want to put a medical marijuana dispensary in Framingham, according to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. 

Overall, there were 101 applicants seeking licenses to open marijuana dispensaries for medical use in the Commonwealth. Worcester topped the list with nine applicants, followed by Boston with six and Framingham and Lowell each with five.

Two of the five Framingham applicants also wish to open a marijuana cultivation center in town.
