How Many Gallons of Water Does It Take To Fill the MetroWest YMCA Pool?

1. The MetroWest YMCA in Framingham is holding a contest until noon today, Aug. 30. Post a guess on the YMCA's Facebook page on how many gallons of water it takes to fill the indoor pool, and you could win a sweatshirt.

Annual maintenance continues at the MetroWest YMCA through Sept. 2. The gym and the pool are closed and there is limited access to the locker rooms. The Wellness Center  is open for working out. 

2.  Framingham Liquors is hosting a free tasting of Strongbow Cider tonight from 5:30 to 7:30. The event is open to anyone age 21 or older.

3. With the beginning of the semester less than a week away, a few dozen students at Framingham State University are scrambling to find a place to live after being evicted from their apartments.

4. Start the weekend with something sweet, Brophy Elementary School's PTO is holding a fundraiser at Sweet Spot Frozen Yogurt today from 3 to 8 p.m. A portion of sales will go to the PTO.
