TONIGHT: Spelling Bee, MBTA Hearing on Framingham/Worcester Commuter Rail and ShopMania Event
Tonight is the 22nd Annual Framingham Education Foundation's Spelling Bee; starts at 7:30 at Cameron Middle School.
1. The MBTA has scheduled a public meeting tonight at 7 in Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building in Framingham to receive feedback on train times as it plans to increase service on the Framingham/Worcester commuter rail line. For additional information, click here.
2. The 22nd Annual Framingham Education Foundation's Spelling Bee starts at 7:30 tonight at Cameron Middle School. The adult spelling bee is the Foundation's largest fundraiser. Money raised is used for grants. Framingham Patch will have a photographer at the event. Good luck to the spellers!
3. The MetroWest Chamber of Commerce's Women's Fun Federation will hold a "ShopMania" event tonight from 5:30 to 7 at the Nantucket Room at the Hampton Inn in Natick.
Hang out with friends, old and new, a do a little holiday shopping. Appetizers and cocktails.
Vendors scheduled include: Stella & Dot, Silpada Jewelry, Beautiful Forms to See Stained Glass, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Pottery A New and Dune Sand Jewelry.

4. Edwards Church will hold a transgender day of remembrance at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to a worship service, in which Transgender people who have died as the result of violence, oppression, or silencing will be remembered.
5. In Case You Missed It: The girlfriend of a Framingham State University student in a motorcycle crash in October, that, forced doctors to amputate both his legs, has established a fund to help him with the cost of his recovery and to make improvements to his home.
Grace Waterhouse created the fund earlier this month. Her goal is to raise $150,000.
On Oct. 19, Framingham State University junior Anthony Spinelli was involved in a near fatal motorcycle accident.
He was a criminal justice major, with hopes of becoming a Massachusetts State Trooper before the crash.
