Uno's Helps Framingham Family, Firefighter on Ellen TV Show and American Idol Screening

Liquor license for Thai Place and new management at the Chicken Bone on the agenda for tonight's Framingham Selectmen's meeting.

1. Today is the final day for individuals interested in running for town-wide office to return their nomination papers to the Framingham Town Clerk's office. Papers are due by 5 p.m. 

There are two seats on the Framingham Board of Selectmen, three Framingham School Committee seats, two Keefe Technical School Committee seats, a seat on the Framingham Planning Board, Town Moderator and Town Clerk up for election in 2014. The town's election is Tuesday, April 1.

2. UNO Pizzeria & Grill in Framingham will donate 15-20 percent of food sales (based on sales) today to the Park Family Fund, established by the Pheasant Hill Civic Association to help the Framingham family rebuild their lives after fire at their home in November.

Throughout today, mention or show the flyer for the DoughRaiser in support of their fund and dine in, take-out, catering and deliveries over $100 will go towards the fund.

Uno's is one of eight Framingham and Natick restaurants holding fundraisers to help the Park Family Fund.

3. Framingham Selectmen are scheduled to meet tonight at 7 in the Memorial Building. On the agenda is a request for a liquor license for Thai Place, a new manager for the Chicken Bone and a review of capital projects.

4. Fans of American Idol are invited to attend a free screening of the premiere of the first episode of the 13th season on the big screen at AMC Framingham 16 at tonight at 7. Doors open at 6. After the multi-city screening, there will be an interactive Q&A with the American idol judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr. moderated by Ryan Seacrest. To attend the free event, fans should RSVP  atwww.idolrsvp.com This free screening event in Framingham comes one day before the two-night season premiere of American Idol XIII on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 8 p.m. on FOX.

5. In Case You Missed It:  A Framingham man and a Wellesley firefighter is scheduled to appear on the Ellen DeGeneres television show this afternoon. 

Framingham resident Dave Papazian, a Wellesley firefighter, is scheduled to appear with three other Wellesley firefighters. Captain Jim Dennehy, lieutenant Paul Delaney, Papazian and firefighter Joan Cullinan were invited to California to appear on the Ellen show because of their rescue of Crosby, a dog who fell through the ice of Charles River last month. Papazian lives in Framingham with his wife and their child.
