Flyers Soar to Victory

The Framingham High Boys Varsity (ranked 13th) traveled to Bourne on Wednesday night to face the defending division champions (ranked 4th) Marshfield in the opening round of the MIAA tournament. Marshfield scored first but Framingham was able to tie the game up and pull ahead before the first period was over. Marshfield tied the game up in the second period at 2-2, however that was all Marshfield was able to muster with the outstanding play of goaltender and Captain Al Lynch who stopped 45 shots earning him the MVP. Framingham scored 3 goals in the 3rd period including an empty netter to advance to the next round against Franklin. The game will be played in Bourne at 12:15 on March 1st.
Goals scored were by Ryder Lessing (2), Cory Gorovitz (1), Christian Seariac (1), and Tim Tierney (1).
The final score was 5-2 Framingham.
