THE PHIA GROUP, LLC. JOINS JFS OF METROWEST FOR A VOLUNTEER DAY AT WILSON ELEMENTARY

Framingham, MA – July 1, 2014. On July 25th, The Phia Group will be bringing 100 employees to participate in a volunteer day with Jewish Family Service of Metrowest (JFS) at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Framingham.  Each year, The Phia Group selects a charity of the year to support in both fundraising and volunteer work, with JFS being this year’s beneficiary.  To date, The Phia Group has helped to put on a recess drive for elementary students, raise funds for the annual campaign and now a large group of employees will spend the day cleaning up classrooms, beautifying school grounds, and distributing fresh fruits and vegetables to families in need.  A service day of this scale will have a significant impact on JFS and Woodrow Wilson.

"As is our tradition for the past several years, The Phia Group partners with a local charity where we invest our time and support to ensure a successful program,” states Phia Group’s Chief Executive Officer Adam Russo. ““We are proud to partner with JFS and look forward to a successful event and year.”

The Phia Group chose to partner with JFS’ Reducing Achievement Gaps program which was established to provide a comprehensive system of interventions to address the academic and social needs of low-income children of immigrant families in Framingham. The program gives Framingham’s most economically and educationally challenged school age children and their families the help and resources they need to succeed in school and in life.

"JFS is privileged to be Phia Group's charity for 2014,” states JFS of Metrowest’s CEO Marc Jacobs. “Adam Russo and his wonderful staff are committed to improving lives, especially for low income children and families.”

JFS programs are standing up for those left behind, serving thousands of people throughout Metrowest.  Most programs are in schools, senior care facilities, playgrounds, faith organizations, physicians’ offices and public settings, all serving the goals of sustaining our elders, strengthening children and families, building community, and making ends meet.  To learn more about JFS visit our website at www.jfsmw.org or like us on Facebook!
