5 Things You Need To Know Today: July 12

Food Truck Festival to return in September, BeardStrong competition in Framingham, Back Pages Band at Nobscot Cafe and Amy Gallatin & Stillwaters will play acoustic country at tonight's summer concert.

Our daily column, 5 Things You Need to Know Today, will help you to get your day started and offer you some fodder for water cooler conversation.

1. Concerts on the Green return to Framingham Centre Common tonight. Amy Gallatin & Stillwaters, an acoustic country band, takes the stage at 6:30 p.m. Bring a blanket and have a picnic. Purchase a whole pizza from the Framingham Swim Team booth or stop by the Eagles Grill booth for some dinner. Concert is free and ends at 8:30 p.m.

2. Boston Beard Bureau comes to The Tavern in Framingham tonight for a #Beardstrong competition to raise money for The One Fund Boston. Event starts at 7. $10 admission fee, but free to compete. For additional information, click here.

The judges are Bert Mayer, Boston Beard Bureau Founder and President,  Jesse Fair and Brendan Cheever.

3. My Gym Framingham still has a couple of spots left in its Friday's Parent's Night Out program from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

4. The Food Truck Festivals of New England after two years in Shoppers World in Framingham is moving to Natick Centre this year. It will be held on Sept. 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are now on sale. Click here for more information.

5.  The Back Pages Band with Tom Yates will perform at Nobscot Cafe tonight at 9.
