Flash Flood Warning Issued for Framingham

Warning is in effect until 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Southeastern Middlesex County, including Framingham beginning at 10:35 p.m. Tuesday until 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 28.

Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across Framingham and Sudbury and Wayland.

Up to 2 inches of rain has already fallen in these areas and the storms headed this way are expected to produce additional heavy rain.

Urban flooding can occur - which means Route 9 and Route 126 is likely to flood, but other areas could see flash flooding also.

The National Weather Service alert specifically mentioned Framingham.

Motorists should never try to drive through flash flood areas.
