North Concord Street Detour Begins Today, July 15

North Concord Street Detour begins Monday, July 15: 
To facilitate deep gravity sewer main construction and pipe jacking underneath the Sudbury River Levy, it will be necessary to detour all northbound traffic on Concord Street in Saxonville beginning today, July 15 at 10 a.m.

All northbound traffic traveling on Concord Street will be detoured from Concord Street to School Street, from School Street to Cottage Street, from Cottage Street to Danforth Street and from Danforth Street back onto Concord Street.

Southbound traffic traveling on Concord Street will continue south on Concord Street.

Edgell Road and Auburn Street: Construction crews will begin to install construction signage, tree protection, and erosion controls along Edgell Road and Auburn Street in preparation for the Edgell Road Reconstruction Project.   Construction activities are schedule to take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Expect delays while traveling in this area.

Grant Street/Pond Street Area: Water main construction activities are schedule to take place on Bishop Street, Howe Street, “C” Street, Wilson Street, and Lincoln Street. Traffic will be managed thorough the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan.  Construction activities are schedule to take place between the hours of 7: a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Expect delays while traveling in this area.

Wickford Road Bridge: Wickford Road Bridge is temporarily closed for rehabilitation by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT).  It is anticipated that the Wickford Road Bridge will reopen once construction is complete in the late Fall of 2013.  Expect delays while traveling in this area. Click here for detour map.

Winter Street Bridge Over the Sudbury River: The Winter Street Bridge over the Sudbury River will be is temporarily closed  for rehabilitation by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT).  It is anticipated that the Winter Street Bridge Over the Sudbury River will reopen in the Fall of 2013.  Expect delays while traveling in this area. Click here for detour map.

“A” Street: Sidewalk construction will continue on “A” Street.  Traffic will be managed thorough the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan.  Construction activities are schedule to take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.  Expect delays while traveling in this area.

Guadalcanal Road and Oran Road: Roadway construction activities will continue on Guadalcanal Road and Oran Road with the installation of traffic markings.  Traffic will be managed thorough the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan.  Construction activities are schedule to take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.  Expect delays while traveling in this area.  

Lincoln Street - Overnight Construction Activites began Sunday, July 14: In order to maintain public safety, minimize adverse impacts on emergency vehicles response time, traffic flow and business in general, roadway construction will take place on Lincoln Street during the overnight beginning Sunday, July 14.  Traffic will be managed thorough the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management.  Construction activities are schedule to take place between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Expect delays while traveling in this area.

Speen Street: Roadway construction activities will continue on Speen Street with the installation of traffic markings.  Traffic will be managed thorough the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan.  Construction activities are schedule to take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. Expect delays while traveling in this area. 


Vernon Street and Oak Street - Overnight Construction Activities began July 14:

Police detail officers will be present to ensure safe vehicular and pedestrian travel.
