September Library Food Drive is Underway

Five things you need to know for Thursday, Sept. 5

1. Fall is in the air today as the day is expected to bring partly sunny skies with a high near 68, with northwest winds five to 11 mph. There is a chance of some showers early morning, mainly before 9 a.m.

2. In case you missed it, there have been two confirmed cases of measles in the state, including on at MetroWest Hospital in Framingham. You may have been exposed if you were at the hospital on certain dates in August.

4. The Framingham Public Library Main Branch kicked off its September food drive this week to benefit the HOPE Worldwide Framingham Food Pantry located at 214 Concord St. Donations of any in-date no-perishable food items are welcome. The most needed items are: hearty beef stew, peanut butter, cereal, juice, coffee, tuna fish, rice, beans and canned fruit. The drive runs through Sept. 30.
