SLIDESHOW: Eastleigh Farm Thanks Those Who Rescued Their Cows

Two cows died on Feb. 19, when the roof of a barn collapsed at the Framingham farm; and three more cows later died due to injuries sustained that Wednesday.

Last month, a roof collapsed at Eastleigh Farm trapping 10 cows, killing two of them that day.

Since the tragedy, three more cows have died, but one new calf has been born.

Over the weekend, the Framingham farm located off Edmands Road held a reception to honor Framingham Fire, Framingham Police and Framingham DPW employees for their efforts that day to rescue the trapped cows.

About a half dozen first responders attended Saturday's event with their families. Those in attendance received a tour of the farm, where the barn collapsed, and visited where the cows are now recovering.

Thanks to Kevin Cummings of Cummings Photography for photographing the event for Framingham Patch.
