Town's Educators to Be Honored During 'Salute to Framingham'

In addition to recognizing two Framingham residents, a group of teachers and staff will be honored for their hard work.

The outstanding work of educators may go unnoticed at times. That won't be the case in Framingham this March.

In advance of the March 27 Salute to Framingham celebration, organizers announced their "You Are Special" recipients who went above and beyond for students in town in the last year.

"The Salute program annually recognizes Framingham teachers and staff who go the extra mile to make each day special in our public schools," a press release from Salute to Framingham reads. "This year we are proud to be able to recognize the efforts of teachers and staff from every school in the district."

Below is a complete list of the "You Are Special" recipients:

Salute to Framingham is scheduled for Thursday, March 27, beginning at 6 p.m. inside the Sheraton Framingham ballroom. 

In addition to the "You Are Special" award winners, Salute to Framingham will honor longtime community volunteer and selectman Dennis Giombetti and Christine Tibor, the director at Framingham Adult ESL Plus.

All proceeds from Salute to Framingham benefit the Framingham High School Foundation, which  extracurricular Activities, Arts, and Athletics at Framingham High School.
