What Street in Natick has the Biggest Speeding Problem?

There are a lot of people who have trouble obeying the speed limit, but which street in Natick do you think has the biggest problem with speeding?

On Friday we asked you what you would ban in Natick.

Between the article on Natick Patch and our Facebook page, we heard a number of different ideas.

But one stuck out as an issue that fell under a different category. Reader DGM commented about the amount of people who speed on his street everyday.

Many people have trouble obeying the speed limit, but is there one particular area of Natick where people tend to speed most often? Is there one street in Natick where people often drive too fast? Tell us in the comments section below.

I think you've brought up a good idea, Mel. Do you (and this question isn't limited to Mel, just he pointed it out) have any suggestions for trying to fix the speeding problems on any of the streets that people have mentioned?

i live on burning tree road also, and agree with you completely. i've had my mailbox knocked down twice (i live on a curve) and once (20 years ago) witnessed a van over steer at the curve and roll over into the creek. (beaver creek?)

I will throw this out to start a discussion. ( I preface it with I am NOT for it) But anyway. There was a woman who lived on Mill St. who sat at at the end of her driveway with a fake radar gun and ALL traffic slowed down when they saw her! I am not saying to do that because it can lead to accidents and then who is liable etc. Maybe there is a way town people can legally do something similar to help slow people down. But I just wanted to throw that out there. I am NOT for a vigilante traffic posse lol. Ideally the town would enforce the traffic laws and we wouldn't have to discuss this. BUT there are only so many officers and I am aware there is other crime they need to attend to. Just starting a conversation here!

PINE Street is also a cut through we have people who test drive cars from the different dealerships driving way to fast. I have had 3 car accidents happen on my property in the past 15 years I have been here. They also raised the speed limit from 30 mph to 35 mph in recent years. There are no side walks and the road is fairly narrow.
