When Do Framingham's Beaches Open?

Framingham has three public beaches -- Saxonville Beach on Lake Road, Learneds Pond on Lower Shawmut Terrace, and Lake Waushakum on Nipmuc Road.

Framingham's trio of public beaches will open Thursday, June 19, the day before a majority of the town's public school students get out of school for the summer.

The Saxonville Beach on Lake Road, Learneds Pond on Lower Shawmut Terrace, and Lake Waushakum on Nipmuc Road will open at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Beach tags are required to use the beaches.

The tags are on sale Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Framingham Parks & Recreation Office on Union Avenue.

Season tags are $15 per resident and $40 per family, with a maximum of 6 tag per household.

Non-residents can purchase seasonal tags at $30 per person, $70 per family/household. 

Day passes will be available at each beach for $3 per resident and $6 per non-resident.

Lifeguards will be on duty from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week.

The town's beaches will close on Thursday, Aug. 14.

NOTE: The first day of school for a majority of the town's public school students is Wednesday, Aug. 27.
