Wind Chill Advisory: Temperatures Could Reach Minus-20 Until Friday Morning

A wind chill advisory is issued when the wind chill goes below minus-15 for at least 3 hours.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for more of Massachusetts, including Framingham and MetroWest.

The advisory is in effect tonight through Friday morning.

Wind chill readings could reach as low as 20 below, especially with sustained winds of 10 to 15 miles per hour and gusts up to 30 miles per hour.

A wind chill advisory is issued when the wind chill goes below minus-15 for at least 3 hours.

Frostbite can develop in just 30 minutes with a wind chill index of minus-20 degrees.
