The A Cappella Singers presents “A Wish for Joy and Peace,” a concert of holiday music, at the Fisk Memorial United Methodist Church in Natick on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m.
MetroWest’s all-women’s classical music chorus, The A Cappella Singers celebrates its 50th year entertaining audiences.
Members include Michelle DaCosta, Carol DiCenso, Jane Eyler, Olga Kouchpil, Betty Lehrman, Betsy Lindsey, Julie Rundlett and Sheryl Stockless from Framingham, Megan Doiron, Sandy Hurwitz, Amber Miller, Ann Powers and Sue Seltzer from Natick, Jean Sniffin from Holliston, Wendy Marks from Needham, and Margaret Fawley from Norfolk.
The A Cappella Singers is directed by Berklee School of Music professor Sharon Brown with accompaniment by pianist George Sergeant. The concert includes selections from Handel’s “Judas Maccabeus,” 15th and 16th century English carols, a “Jazz Exsultate,” Hannukah songs, David Foster’s “Grown-up Christmas List,” a Broadway Christmas medley and more.
Audience members are invited to join the chorus in a holiday sing along.
The evening concludes with an open reception in the church hall. All are welcome.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, and are available by phone or at the door.
