Batman Goes to the Cleaners in Natick

Actor Christian Bale was in Natick Thursday filming scenes for a Hollywood movie based on the ABSCAM investigation in the 1970s and '80s.

Thanks to Framingham Patch reader Marco Rosa of Framingham for texting us this photo of Bale inside Reliable Cleaners in Natick.

Bale, who is also known for his Batman movie roles, filmed scenes with a former co-star Amy Adams yesterday in Natick. Bale and Adams starred in the movie The Fighter, based on the life of famed Massachusetts boxer Micky Ward.

This David O. Russell film, based on true events in history, had the stars and extras in leisure suits and other '70s garb and trucked in period cars.

This is the second time in less than a year that Hollywood has come to Natick to shoot scenes for a film, as Labor Day starring Tobey Maguire and Kate Winslet filmed scenes last August.
