Discover If Your Old Books Are Valuable Thursday Night

Public invited to bring books to be appraised, by the proprietor of the Brattle Book Store, to the free lecture Thursday night at the Memorial Building.

Kenneth Gloss, proprietor of the nationally known Brattle Book Shop in Boston’s Downtown Crossing will give a free and open talk entitled, Is There Value in Your Old and Rare Books? tomorrow night, Sept. 19 in the Blumer Room at the Memorial Building at 7.

"New England homes are treasure troves for old and rare books that have increased in value over the years," said Gloss. “We invite the public to bring any books or documents they want to know about to the lecture for a free verbal appraisal” following the lecture and question and answer session.

For those wanting to get their books appraised, the library requests that donations be made to the Framingham Public Library Foundation for the building of the new Christa McAuliffe Branch Library.
