Boston's best ventriloquist, Kevin Driscoll of Framingham brings along a number of his little friends as our May feature. Besides the witty and sometimes irreverent Jerry ( see photo) who has entertained as a miquer several times, this time Driscoll will bring along a few of his other friends including Dino the Dinosaur and other surprise guests.
Driscoll, a Berklee College of Music alum, adds musical elements to the witty and clever dialogue among his "partners". The Framingham resident and friends have been popular performers at many comedy shows in Eastern Mass. We look forward to seeing a full 30 minutes of their amazing stuff.
Kevin states, "As a young boy growing up in Nebraska, I wrote a letter to Santa and received my first Jerry Mahoney ventriloquist puppet. Today I use a replica Jerry Mahoney professional version."
By day, Kevin is the General Manager of 1stWorks Corporation, a twelve year old virtual internet company where he spends ten to twelve hours per day, in front of four computers on webcam.
Many nights and weekends, Kevin is busy playing jazz or performing comedy at various venues in the Boston area.
He brings his musical skill to this ventriloquist work too. Playing with his left hand on the Amazing Grand piano), Kevin "helps" Jerry sing with his right hand while playing bass drum with his right foot and high-hat with his left foot.
Kevin and Jerry also recently performed with the fictional Cardinal Casseroli (aka Father Tom Kopp) at St. Anselm's in Sudbury where Kevin plays drums and vibes at Sunday mass.
