Free Fun Fridays at Garden in Woods, Danforth Art

The Danforth Art Museum and School and Garden in the Woods will be open for free today, July 19, as part of the Highland Street Foundation's Free Fun Friday program.

Two Framingham cultural attractions -- Garden in the Woods Danforth Art Museum and School -- will be open for free today, July 19 as part of the Highland Street Foundation's Free Fun Friday program.

Also open for free today are:  JFK LIBRARY & MUSEUM , REAGLE MUSIC THEATRE, BUTTONWOOD PARK ZOO and HANCOCK SHAKER VILLAGE

Danforth Art in downtown Framingham will offer a wide variety of free art activities inside to avoid the temperatures for children and adults. Uncover unusual artistic mediums with a self-guided Art Detective tour; take a spin with ceramics at the wheel throwing demonstration; or stop by the three unique art projects inspired by current exhibits.

Danforth Art will also have sidewalk chalk, face painting, and a photo booth.

An accredited living museum, Garden in the Woods in the Nobscot section of Framingham is New England’s premier wildflower garden has more than 1,000 native plant species, including many rare and endangered native specimens.
