A national website came up with a list of the 16 best international food hubs in the United States, ranging from Korean to Cuban to Italian food without traveling to the actual country.

Thrilllist placed both Boston and Framingham on that list of 16 communities nationally. Boston's North End was the place to go for Italian food.

"South Framingham" was called "Little Brazil" and the best place to get authentic Brazilian cuisine in the United States.

"It is a hub for Brazilians despite having very few beaches or babes. The South American soda Guaraná Antarctica stocks the shelves of convenience stores, the smells of cheesy pão de queijo breads are everywhere, and tildes are used with reckless abandon," sited the online list.

Thrilllist specifically listed the "Fried plantains at Terra Brasilis, pão de queijo from Magic Oven Company and Brazilian BBQ at Tropical Cafe."

Tropical Cafe on Hollis Street and Terra Brasilis, which has a location across from the Framingham Police Station, should be tried; Magic Oven Company closed last fall.

My favorite Brazilian bakery - Pao Brazil Bakery - is currently closed, as it undergoes renovations; but the sweets at Padaria Brasil bakery, which has two location in Framingham, are very good too.

Completely agree! Tropical Cafe has the best BBQ in Massachusetts, if not New England! If you have never been, you need to check it out! Plus it is a phenomenal place to watch a futebol match!
