SLIDESHOW & VIDEO: Hot Acoustics Entertains Crowd at the Common

It was a beautiful night for a summer concert Friday.

Hot Acoustics entertained the largest crowd of the season on the Framingham Centre Common.

Members of Hot Acoustics include Framingham native Steve Spector, Ray Elwood, Tim Leavitt and Carter Berking, all of MetroWest.

This was the band's debut at the Framingham Parks & Recreation summer concert series, as the weather cancelled a previously scheduled performance.

The band performed soft rock cover tunes.

In between sets, attendees visited booths and tents from several organizations, including the Rotary Club of Framingham, Democratic Town Committee, Performing Arts Center of MetroWest, Framingham Library Foundation and the Framingham Artists' Guild, featuring Framingham artist Cathy Gruetzke-Blais this week.

Cadette Girl Scouts offered face painting and games for $1. The money raised supports homeless families in Framingham, and is part of a Silver Award project the Troop is working towards earning.

Eagles Grill and Centre Pizza, as well as Ben & Jerry's, made sure no one was hungry at the concert.
