VIDEOS & SLIDESHOW: 'Crazy' For Country Music

The Chris Anders Band entertained the crowd at the first Framingham summer concert of the season.

The Framingham summer concert series kicked off Friday night, June 20, on the Framingham Centre Common, featuring country tunes by the Chris Anders Band.

The band performed classics from Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis and other country music songs, during the two-hour concert.

During breaks, families and individuals stopped by the Rotary Club of Framingham, Framingham Democratic Town Committee, Framingham Artists Guild and other charitable tents and booths.

Attendees could also stop by the Eagles Grill, Centre Pizza and Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream booth for dinner and dessert.

There was also a bubble artist to entertain the younger audience.

Concerts are Friday nights through Aug, 5, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The popular summer series is overseen by the Framingham Parks & Recreation Department.

Next Friday, Three of a Kind, a pop music group will perform at 6:30 p.m.

Sponsors include Align Credit Union, Bernardi Auto Group, Adessa, Framingham Police Athletic League, MetroWest Medical Center, MutualOne Bank, TD Bank, MetroWest Community Credit Union and The Framingham Cultural Council.
