MutualOne Foundation Awards $5,000 to St. Bridget School for SMART Boards

MutualOne Charitable Foundation has helped introduce technology to enhance the education of St Bridget School's PreK-8 students, by having a SMART board in every classroom.

The MutualOne Charitable Foundation granted $5,000 to Saint Bridget School in Framingham toward the purchase and installation of two SMART Boards for classroom use.

With similar donations over the past three years, the Foundation has helped introduce technology to enhance the education of the School’s pre-kindergarten through grade 8 student population.

“This contribution will help Saint Bridget School realize its goal of having SMART Boards in every classroom,” said Mark R. Haranas, president and CEO of MutualOne Bank and a trustee of the MutualOne Charitable Foundation. “We helped the School initiate this project, which has proven to be a valuable resource for both students and teachers; we are pleased to help complete the project with our most recent grant.”

The Saint Bridget School grant was among awards totaling $63,385 made by the Foundation in its most recent round of funding.

The MutualOne Charitable Foundation is a continuation of the Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation following the 2012 merger of Framingham Co-operative Bank and Natick Federal Savings Bank. Since it was originally established in 1998, the Foundation has donated over $2.3 million to charitable, educational, and civic initiatives that improve and enhance the quality of life in Framingham, Natick, and surrounding communities.
