AAA: Gas Prices Down 3 Cents

The current Massachusetts price is nine cents higher than the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.28.

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down three cents from last week, according 
to AAA Southern New England, which has an office in Framingham on Route 9.

AAA’s Jan. 27 regular unleaded averaging $3.37 per gallon, down three cents from last week. Prices locally are nine cents lower than a month ago.

The current price is nine cents higher than the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.28.

A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was eight cents higher at $3.45.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 36 cents,  from a low of $3.23 to a high of $3.59. 

AAA Fuel Saving Tip of the Week:Avoid quick starts and sudden stops. This wastes fuel, is harder on vehicle components, and increases the odds of a traffic crash.
