AAA: Gas Prices up 3 Cents

A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was 10 cents lower at $3.38.

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are up three cents this week, according to AAA Southern New England, which has an office in Framingham on Route 9. 

AAA’s July 8 Survey has unleaded averaging $3.48 per gallon, three cents higher than last week. 

Prices locally are down a penny over the past month. The current price is one cent higher than the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.47. 

A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was 10 cents lower at $3.38.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 53 cents, from a low of $3.32 to a high of $3.85. 

AAA Fuel Saving Tip of the Week: Spark plugs must be in good condition. Some will last for 100,000 miles, but may need to be replaced more often.
