The Framingham Planning Board will hold a public hearing tonight at 6:30 to consider the application by Chalifoux Realty to construct a two-story bank branch on Route 30 near the intersection of Route 126.

With seven locations mainly in Central Massachusetts, Avidia Bank is petitioning the Framingham Planning Board for a special permit, to build its eighth branch on Route 30.

The Framingham Planning Board will hold a public hearing tonight at 6:30, in the Blumer Room at the Memorial Building, to consider the application by Chalifoux Realty to construct a two-story Avidia Bank branch at 222 & 236 Cochituate Road.

Chalifoux Realty of Wellesley is requested special permits for the bank to have a drive-thru and a public way permit to develop the 24,000 square foot properties, on Route 30, near the intersection of Route 126.

A hair salon stood at one time on one of the two lots. The other is vacant.

According to its website, Avidia Bank is a $1 billion mutual community bank headquartered in Hudson, with full-service branch offices in Hudson, Westborough, Clinton, Leominster, Marlborough, Northborough and Shrewsbury.
