Downtown Market Abruptly Closes

Located at 185 Concord St., all the shelves were bare and a realtor sign is in the window.

Asinayo Market, a family-owned business that has been operating in downtown Framingham for nearly a decade, has closed.

It stocked Asian foods including Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese and Indian in the form of fresh produce, frozen foods and dry noodles.

Located at 185 Concord St., all the shelves were bare and a realtor sign is in the window. Downtown shop owners said it was open all week and then after one weekend, it was gone.

In January, a new Asian market opened on Route 9 called Formosa Asian Marketplace.
