Final Day of Business for Wild Ruby Artisan Gallery

Owner Perry Lowell Bent opened Wild Ruby in March 2012.

Sadly, today is the last day of business for Wild Ruby Artisan Gallery.

The store will close at 6 tonight, April 30.

Located next to J & M Diner, owner Perry Lowell Bent had hoped to sell the business, but no buyers came forward.

Bent opened Wild Ruby in March of 2012.

But shortly after she purchased Wild Ruby, she was diagnosed with a gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST), which is a rare type of tumor that occurs in the esophagus, stomach, gallbladder, liver, small intestine, colon, rectum, and lining of the gut.

In August 2013, she announced she was looking for a buyer.

And when no buyer came forward, on April 1, she announced the store would close at the end of the month.

Everything in the store is available at wholesale prices.

I stopped by this morning and there are still items available for purchase, including jewelry, giftware, crafts, etc.
