Framingham Beer Works Adds Taste of MetroWest To Its March Madness Lineup

Since no one is eligible for the billion dollar perfect bracket, there is no need to sit at home and watch the rest of the March Madness games and hope.

Instead, head over to Framingham Beer Works and watch the college basketball teams advance to the Sweet 16.

The newest brewing company to Framingham, opened in May 2013.

And this year, the Slesar Bros. Brewing Company, known better as Framingham Beer Works, will participate in the Taste of MetroWest event, put on by the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce.

The 4th Annual Taste of MetroWest is Tuesday, March 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel. Tickets are still available at $28 each.

While watching your favorite college basketball team, sit at the bar or get a booth with friends and order a half-order of nachos, some sweet potato fries, cheeseburger sliders or wings.

Framingham Beer Works also has a couple of unique appetizers on its menu including potato-bacon-cheddar spring rolls, fried pickle spears and beer-dough bites with stout cheese.

The March special appetizer is  Shepherd's pie empanadas.

If still hungry, there are plenty of entrees to choose from including beer-basted BBQ steak tips, BBQ ribs, fish 'n chips, chicken & shrimp stir fry and even coconut sea scallops.

Framingham Beer Works, one of several Beer Works in the Commonwealth, serves more than a dozen microbrews. On tap are several Framingham-named brews including:

  • Nobscot IPA
  • Harmony Grove Golden
  • Cochituate Red
  • Saxonville Light
  • Bowditch Nut Brown Ale
  • Framingham American Pale Ale

If you are not sure what to order, you can get a sampler of beers - four 2-oz beers for less than $10. Price varies based on which four beers you choose.

Most of the beers are under $6 for 12 oz.

  • Irish Amber Lager
  • Crimson Clover Irish Red
  • Dublin Dark Ale
  • Irish Cream Stout, featuring toffee and sweet cream flavor
The restaurant is family-friendly, and offers a special kids menu for children age 12 and under.

Framingham Beer Works is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
