Framingham Company Carves World's Largest Chocolate Goat

The goat was delivered to Beekman 1802 to help the New York-based company celebrate its new goat milk fudge sauce.

Chocolate Therapy in Framingham handcarved the world's largest chocolate goat.

The goat, which took 50 hours to sculpt, was delivered this past weekend to Beekman 1802 to help the New York-based company celebrate its new goat milk fudge sauce.

The goat is on display in Beekman 1802's flagship store in Sharon Springs, NY.

There currently is a contest to name the goat. The winning entry, to be decided by Chocolate Therapy, will receive a box of chocolates from the Framingham-based company.

Beekman 1802 is a TV Show, a bestselling cookbook and website and tourism destination all inspired by the Beekman 1802 Farm.

Josh Kilmer-Purcell and his partner Brent Ridge (a former VP of Healthy Living for Martha Stewart Omnimedia) purchased the historic Beekman 1802 Farm in 2007; and have turned it into a national brand. Some may know the duo as the 2012 winners of The Amazing Race TV show.

The goat was on display this weekend along with truffles featuring Beekman 1802 Blaak goat cheese.

Chocolate Therapy is owned by Framingham couple David and Pamela Griffin.

The chocolatiers opened their first Chocolate Therapy in Dedham in 2011; and a second Framingham shop at 50 Worcester Rd. in December 2012.
