NCQA’s annual evaluation reviewed 577 private health plans and ranked 484 of them based on clinical performance, member satisfaction and NCQA Accreditation.

“We could not have achieved the honor of achieving the top seat for a full decade without strong partnerships with our doctors, hospitals, employers, brokers and, of course, our employees,” said Eric H. Schultz, president and chief executive officer of Harvard Pilgrim. “We are committed to remaining focused on bringing all of the communities we serve the best care, quality and value possible.”

"We are very proud of this unprecedented accomplishment,” said Michael Sherman, MD, chief medical officer of Harvard Pilgrim. “We attribute these results to our ability to innovate in ways that reward high value and improved health outcomes. By partnering closely with providers, we believe that we can continue to make a difference and ensure that our members receive the highest quality of care."
