MutualOne Grant Helps Provide Free Legal Services in MetroWest

The MutualOne Charitable Foundation's recent $3,500 grant to MetroWest Legal Services will support that agency's work in providing free legal advocacy in civil cases.

The MutualOne Charitable Foundation’s recent $3,500 grant to MetroWest Legal Services will support that agency’s work in providing free legal advocacy in civil cases to protect and advance the rights of the poor, elderly, disabled, homeless and other disenfranchised individuals.

MutualOne Bank and the MutualOne Charitable Foundation are longtime supporters of the Framingham-based organization, sponsoring the annual MetroWest Legal Services Nancy King Memorial Golf Tournament since 2009, and providing general financial support through direct donations over the past decade.

“We feel very fortunate to count the MutualOne Bank and the MutualOne Charitable Foundation among our most dedicated supporters,” said Executive Director Elizabeth Soulé.

The $3,500 grant to MetroWest Legal Services was among awards totaling $59,200 made by the Foundation in its most recent round of funding.

The MutualOne Charitable Foundation is a continuation of the Framingham Co-operative Bank Charitable Foundation following the 2012 merger of Framingham Co-operative Bank and Natick Federal Savings Bank.

Since it was originally established in 1998, the Foundation has donated over $2.7 million to charitable, educational, and civic initiatives that improve and enhance the quality of life in Framingham, Natick and surrounding communities.
