Route 9 Restaurant to Close

A spokesperson for the chain said the restaurant is schedule to close, but she did not have a date for its last day in Framingham.

Ruby Tuesday, in the Trader Joe's and Staples plaza on Route 9 in Framingham, is scheduled to close soon.

"We do have plans to close this location; however, a confirmed date is not available at this time," said Meridith Hammond, communications manager for the chain, from their corporate office in Mayville, Tennessee.

The chain is not closing, just the Framingham location.

The staff at the Framingham location began telling customers this month it would be closing soon.

And earlier this week, a sign was erected on the site announcing the lease of the 5,700 square feet end cap in the plaza.

Derek - why are u so upset about the teachers finally getting their well deserved contract? If you are so miserable in the private sector quit your job & join a union. Those teachers work long & hard hours! Even with there new contracts they still don't get paid enough 4 what they do!! It seems like alot of restaurants are closing in the community

Good to see "the system" working...Just as Pizza Hut & Firefly's found out, in a competitive market, if your quality and/or service suck, you're gone...

Does anyone know what's going in in its place? Wow, would a Panera ever be perfect...

We still smart over the loss of Ruby's. It was our number one place to go. I don't understand what happened. it was good food, nice atmosphere good prices, and they had great chocolate chip cookies you could request to bring home in a batch. Too much competition I guess. How about a Red Lobster. That would be nice.

It was about time. I cheer their closing. I made the mistake of giving them a second chance and got sick both times. Good riddance.
