I hear this place was opened by a former employee of salon illusions in ashland and a couple of the ladies got sued!! I wouldn't step foot in a place that is run by back stabbing witches!

That was not appropriate info to share if hear say or not. Keep negative thoughts to yourself. I don't think I stand alone on this one.

I am a long time client of Lisa Beer, owner of The Look Hair Spa...And I have to say that I am so proud of her for opening this new shop in Framingham Center. Compared to the old place she was at in Ashland>>>wow! What a difference! The atmosphere is warm, inviting & modern.... Exactly what a hairspa should be!!! They even have coffee & water...amenities that should be offered to clients. Each & every client is greeted with a talented staff who are ready to serve you with their expertise in the latest techniques. The girls told me they just needed a change & were excited for their move to the new place. I am so proud of them for wanting to better themselves and move forward in their career. I personally do not think they are backstabbing anyone. The owner at the old place in Ashland did not seem to care for his salon or his girls. That's the impression I got every time I was there...Anyhow:) Good luck ladies!!!

I have been a long time client of Janice's since her Hair Loft days.I love the new Spa finding it warm and inviting and the owner could not be nicer..So nice to be greeted by the staff. Bulldog 10 sounds like he stands alone with his negative commentary...By the way i love love love my Brazilian Blowout

Bulldog 10 happens to be the owner of salon illusions. There is no reason to bad mouth those ladies. He has told them "all" time and time again that he intended on selling the business, also retiring. What did he expect these ladies to do under those circumstances? They all did the right thing as far as I'm concerned. As far as the owner of "The Look Hair Spa"........... Good for you, and I'm proud of you!! :)

What is a Brazilian Blowout? Jim@ccfiile.com
Adrianna June 15, 2012 at 03:21 PM
Jim Brazillian Blowout is along the same lines as a keratin treatment. It relaxes the curl in the clients hair and smoothes out the frizz, really good for people with crazy unruly hair

Thanks! Good to know if I grow more hair. Jim@ccfiile.com

I apologize -- I was on vacation when Bulldog10 posted -- the comment is inappropriate and against out terms of use - including using a psuedoname like Framingham55 or badhaircut - as well as attacking an another individual. That is not allowed on Framingham Patch. Everyone is asked to use their real name like they were having a conversation with someone on a sidewalk. Paul66 and jackie66 is inappropriate too - please update your account profile.

I would love to inform Paul66 that in-fact the post from bulldog 10 was NOT the owner of Salon Illusions, i have known the wonderful man all my life and i can guarantee, and after talking with him and hearing how he was hurt that you would say such a thing, that he would never post something like that. He also doesnt need to. he runs a wonderful business. But what the girls did to him was very very wrong, shameful actually because thats not how LADIES act. And what you stated about him retiring is none of you or the ladies at the look spas business. and to jackie, if you dont think that he cares about his salon or his ladies then why would be devote so much of his time redoing the salon and making it a great place to be in or do so much for the girls, like i dont know giving their children a place to be after school when they had no where else to go. Im just saying, think again before you talk about other people. Thanks

Oh Karen, please, you have no idea what these girls were put through, i as a client witnessed several inappropriate comments and negativity from the owner, and what is being said about the situation is 100% true.
Adrianna June 27, 2012 at 08:03 PM
Karen you shouldn't judge them for wanting to leave and Bulldog's comment was inappropriate. There is two sides to every story and you're only hearing one side so don't throw stones just because you think you know what happened. Not everything is always what it seems. Just saying
Kara June 29, 2012 at 07:10 PM
I also witnessed inappropriate behavior, including racist comments coming out of the owners mouth. The owner referred to the room the said children could go to as the "Underground Railroad". Coincidentally the said children are of mixed race. These women had no other choice than to get away from a verbally offensive employer. I personally know most of the woman that left they are great people and would never intentionally hurt anyone. If the former employer treated his employees like human beings and not barn animals this never would have happened. Not to mention the level of filth. One might say "hoarder". Unless you have been employed by that person, you cant understand the extent of disgust that comes out of his mouth.

This all sounds like "sour grapes" type stuff to me. The others from Lisa's prior employment should all be happy and proud of her for embarking on such a bold undertaking. Going into business for the first time in this economic enviroment takes more than courage and it takes more than self believe. It takes an unwavering committment to find ways to better serve her customers. In fact, I'm a long time customer of Lisa's. Lisa has been cutting my hair since she was 18. I have stayed her customer through the years even though she had moved further away for me to travel. I stayed her customer because Lisa is a very talented hair stylist and colorist. I came into her place this past Thursday for a scheluded color & cut. I was very impressed by the location, the view, the layout, the square footage (over 2,500 sq. ft.), and of course the all important ambience, and what a unique place it is. This is the kind of special atmosphere that will evolve into a tradition for mothers and daughters (us guys too) through the years. It will become a place to meet old friends and make new ones. To Lisa, you're not just a customer, you're a friend. Lisa, we're all very proud of you.

Karen, For the sake of not going back and forth on this issue I'll respect your opinion on this and now give you mine. for a person that has had no personal dealings with these 5 women other than hear say, you haven't a CLUE what you're talking about. You call them wrong and shameful for doing what was best for themselves, their families, and their carrer's? Shame on "YOU" Karen. 5 Ladies don't just up and leave their jobs for no good reason or reasons Karen. It was obvious something just wasn't right over at that establishment. Continue to believe what you want and what this man told and tells you. The fact of the matter is he had absolutely NO respect for any of the ladies and there are many people who can verify this Karen. Wonderful men don't go around calling responsible, mature, hard working ladies "back stabbing witches"...... Karen! Know the facts before you post your opinion again Karen! I back these 5 ladies 100% then and now and I'm sure many, many others do as well. Just keep reading the positive replies Karen, It says allot!! :)

for all of you who say i have "no idea" about these women or their previous employer, you are so far from wrong. i have known their previous employer alllllll my life, literally. and i have been there at the salon throughout alllll of them working their, and know them all down to the bone. and its funny what kara says about the place being "filthy", did you know one of the girls that are in the new salon actually cleaned the salon? and paul, i mean its hard not to call them back stabbing witches when i mean thats exactly what they did. they left him high and dry with out even a notice. any responsible adult would give a notice that all his employees were leaving. and if it was sooo terrible that they had "NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO LEAVE", why did some of them work there for so many years and have to go through all that. because none of what they say is true. they even all went out together after work. i mean if i had a boss i hated so much and couldnt bear to be around, i would go hanging out with them. weird huh. you can all think you know more about this matter than me, but you are so so wrong that its funny. and i never said i wasnt proud of lisa, props to her for opening a salon, but then again shame on her for going about it the way she did. (:

Karen, just so you are aware of some of the facts because clearly you have no where near all the facts, the girls HAD to leave in that way, they had NO OTHER CHOICE but do do so. That is due to the unpredictability of the owner, in case you were unaware, the police had to be called when another employee left a few years back because the owner would not let him retrieve his personel property. The girls have all expressed regret in having to leave without notice but that is customary in beauty salons, owners rarley except notice from hair stylists, 9 out of 10 times the person leaving is thrown out that day, and that is exactly what would have happened. Aside from the fact, from what i understand this guy was and is so unpredictable, they were all very leary and worried about the reaction from him. From what i was told by all of the girls, it was a thought out exiting, and they felt it was the SAFEST way for them to leave. So before you spew off anymore about this situation maybe you should get the WHOLE story. One other thing you may be interested in, the girls ALSO had to get the police involved because they ALL felt it necessary to do so.....
